We are at war! We are losing! Proclaims former Pentagon arms salesman Colonel
Donn de Grand Pré. 
His
thesis in Barbarians Inside The Gates is the wars we engaged in for whatever reasons since the end of World War II
have not only been unconstitutionally waged, but have caused a net loss in political power. Each war was waged to divert our attention away from the true enemy within,
and toward a contrived enemy outside our borders. He
quotes a leading defense analyst that these wars are "an experiment to show we can do something in concert with the United
Nations in an area where we have no vital interest." It is moving the American people toward acceptance of the
use of American Armed Forces as surrogates under UN command. Who
is waging war? Led by unindicted criminal statesmen with a fanatical will to power, and wedded to international financial
oligarchs with absolutely no scruples, these modern day barbarians have seized the critical levers of power. They are
now straining for the ultimate brass ring -- a one world government of absolute despotism under their domain. Can we stop them? Colonel Donn de Grand Pré in
this no punches pulled volume defines the enemy and his tactics in detail; then he explains what we must do to defeat the

had been a long and winding road that led Donn de Grand Pré from the jungles of Burma and China in 1944-45 where he
served as an 18 year old radio operator with the 236th Combat Engineers, to his position as the Pentagon's point man for miltary
sales to the Middle East. Commissioned
in 1950, he served as an infantry troop leader and paratrooper, as well as a combat troop commander and intelligence officer
with the 27th Infantry "Wolfhound" Regiment in Korea. He was decorated for valor in combat and seriously wounded
in 1953. While recuperating, he graduated cum laude from Dickinson State University (North Dakota) with a degree
in political science in 1956. He returned to active duty as the deputy chief of the International Division, Office of
the Chief of Research & Development. He also served as Commander of Special Troops for the US Army Reserves. Secrtary of Defense Robert S. McNamara appointed Colonel Donn
de Grand Pré Director, Ground Weapons Systems, in a newly created office of International Logistics Negotiations in
1967. He and his colleagues were given the mission to negotiate sales contracts with heads of foreign nations for military
equipment and weapons systems. They became the world's most successful arms salesmen, with sales totaling nearly 100
billion dollars over a ten year period.

Prelude to Panic
The 9/11 activity and horrific destruction of property and
lives in the USA was intentionally meant to trigger a psychological and patriotic reaction on the part of the citizens of
the USA, which is paving the way for striking key targets in both the Middle East, South Asia and the Balkans.
The trigger for the 9/11 activity was the
imminent and unstoppable world-wide financial collapse, which can only be prevented (temporarily) by a major war; perhaps
to become known as WWIII. To bring it off (one more time), martial law will probably be imposed in the United States.
Was there a gigantic
cover-up involving high-ranking Cabinet officials -- up to and including the president and vice president of the United States
-- the CIA, FBI, and rogue elements of the military?
The so-called terrorist attack was in fact a superbly executed
military operation against the United States, requiring the utmost professional military skill in command, communications
and control. It was flawless in timing, in the choice of selected aircraft to be used as guided missiles to their pre-selected
targets.
As
a tactical military exercise against two significant targets (world financial center and the citadel of world strategic military
planning), the attack, from the psychological impact on the American public, probably surpassed the Japanese "surprise"
attack on Pearl Harbor, 7 December 1941.

"The myth of
the '19 middle east terrorists' probably never existed. All the damage could have been done by foreign operators surreptitiously
installed in AWACS-type aircraft."
The enemy is in fact within the gates, and has infiltrated into the highest policy-making
positions at the Federal level. He has absolute control, not only of the purse strings, but of the troop build-up and
deployment of military forces, including active, reserve and National Guard Units.
The goal continues to be ultimate
destruction of all national sovereignty and establishment of a global government.
What Happened to the Real Conservatives?
Ron Paul, an outspoken
Texas congressman, is demanding to know: Where have all of the real conservatives gone?
The so-called conservative
movement of the last 20 years, starting with the Reagan revolution of the 1980s, followed by the 1994 Gingrich takeover of
the House, and culminating in the early 2000s with Republican control of both Congress and the White House, seems a terrible
failure today.
Republicans have failed utterly to shrink
the size of government; instead it is bigger and costlier than ever before. Federal spending spirals out of control,
new Great Society social welfare programs have been created, and the national debt is rising by more than a half-trillion
dollars per year.
Whatever
happened to the conservative vision supposedly sweeping the nation?
One thing is certain: those who worked and voted for
less government -- the very foot soldiers in the conservative revolution -- have been deceived. Today, the ideal of
limited government has been abandoned by the GOP, and real conservatives find their views no longer matter.
True limited government
conservatives have been coopted by the rise of the neo-conservatives in Washington.
Their views dominate American domestic
and foreign policy today, as their ranks include many of the president's closest advisors.
They have successfully
moved the Republican Party away from the Goldwater-era platform of frugal government at home and nonintervention abroad, toward
a big government world empire mentality more reminiscent of Herbert Hoover or Woodrow Wilson. In doing so, they have
proven that their ideas are neither new nor conservative.
Modern neo-conservatives are not necessarily monolithic in
their views, but they generally can be described as follows:
♦ They agree with Trotsky's idea of a permanent
revolution;
♦
They identify strongly with the writings of Leo Strauss;
♦ They express no opposition to the welfare state,
and will expand it to win votes and power;
♦ They believe in a powerful federal government;
♦ They
believe the ends justify the means in politics, that hardball politics is a moral necessity;
♦ They
believe lying is necessary for the state to survive;
♦ They believe certain facts should be known only
by the political elite, and withheld from the general public;
♦ They believe in preemptive war and the naked
use of military force to achieve any desired ends;
♦ They openly endorse the idea of an American
empire, and hence unapologetically call for imperialism;
♦ They are very willing to use force to impose
"American" ideals;
♦ They scoff at the Founding Fathers' belief in neutrality in foreign affairs;
♦ They
believe 9/11 resulted from a lack of foreign entanglements, not from too many;
♦ They are willing to
redraw the map of the Middle East by force, while unconditionally supporting Israel's Likud Party;
♦ They
view civil liberties with suspicion, as unnecessary restrictions on the federal government;
♦ They
despise libertarians;
♦
They dismiss any argument based on constitutional grounds.
Those who love liberty, oppose unjustified war and resent
Big-Brother government must identify the philosophy that is influencing policy today.
If the neo-conservatives are wrong
-- and I believe they are -- we must demonstrate this to the American people, and offer an alternative philosophy that is
both morally superior and produces better results in terms of liberty and prosperity.
It is time for true conservatives
to retake the conservative movement.
